I began my career with Pennsylvania Financial Group, an agency of the former Provident Mutual organization, where I worked from 1989 until 2000—the year Addis Hill was conceived. During that time, I learned the importance of truly solving for client needs. I also became increasingly uncomfortable with the inherent conflicts of interest in the industry. I knew there had to be a better way to serve clients, and discovering NAPFA proved invaluable in shaping both my philosophy and the culture of what would become Addis Hill.
At Addis Hill, I strive to listen carefully and apply practical, common-sense thinking to the unique puzzle each client brings to that first meeting. I value being part of a team that operates with a high level of integrity and makes a meaningful impact on clients’ lives. I also appreciate the firm’s authenticity, its embrace of new technologies, its growth mindset, and our commitment to speaking one truth—always.
When I'm not in the office
When I’m not in the office, I’ve been happily married to my wife, Sue, for 34 years. Together, we have three children: Drew (27), our digital storyteller; Kyle (25), who lives in Oceanside, California; and Jenny (21), a senior at Penn State. We also have a home on the Chesapeake Bay, where we enjoy spending time on the water with family and friends.
I’m a passionate Penn State football fan and enjoy home renovation projects, collecting art, landscaping, and taking my two classic cars and motorcycle out for a drive. At heart, I’m still a small-town kid who grew up in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania—and a proud Penn State graduate.
