Chip’s career in the financial services industry began more than 25 years ago when he was hired as a producer for a major life insurance company. In 1989, the industry revolved around selling financial products and earning commissions on those sales. But, by the mid-nineties the industry business models started changing dramatically. It was then that Chip realized there was a better way to do business and he began crafting what the next phase of his career would look like.
In 2000, Chip joined with Justin Hill and together they created Addis & Hill — today there are only 1,600 firms nationally who work on a fee-only basis where the goals of the client and advisor are in alignment and conflicts of interest are eliminated.
