The Team

Our Principles

At Addis & Hill we operate from the core belief that financial advisors can only serve the interests of one master: Our client. We do not accept compensation from any source other than our clients, and we have no financial incentive other than helping our clients succeed. This operating independence ensures our interests are 100% aligned with yours and that there is never any concern about conflicts of interest.

An advisory relationship requires seven essential components for it to thrive and our mutually aligned goals become reality. We call these components the Seven C’s.

One

Consultative

We don’t offer the same solutions for every client. We customize everything for you, around your needs and goals, in a supportive open environment.

Two

Cost Effective

High fees are like a leak at the bottom of a bucket. For our relationship to sustain over the long term, we charge reasonable fees and delivering extraordinary value beyond just investment advice.

Three

Chemistry

Our relationship needs to feel right to both of us. We’ll be honest and candid with you and we expect the same in return. Trust is the basis for any meaningful relationship.

Four

Culture

Good business decisions are made when our clients’ values are aligned with the culture and principles that define our organization, and we share a common purpose.

Five

Character

We are accountable to you 100% and no one else. We are committed to doing what we say we’re going to do. Every time.

Six

Caring

For us to be successful, your goals have to become our goals. We start by asking thoughtful questions to listen carefully to learn who you are and where you want to go.

Seven

Competence

We keep up with the latest developments, innovations and rules governing financial planning and we are constantly working to improve our level of expertise.

Our Team

Chip’s career in the financial services industry began more than 25 years ago when he was hired as a producer for a major life insurance company. In 1989, the industry revolved around selling financial products and earning commissions on those sales. But, by the mid-nineties the industry business models started changing dramatically. It was then that Chip realized there was a better way to do business and he began crafting what the next phase of his career would look like.

In 2000, Chip joined with Justin Hill and together they created Addis & Hill — today there are only 1,600 firms nationally who work on a fee-only basis where the goals of the client and advisor are in alignment and conflicts of interest are eliminated.
